Thomas Peckett (or Preskett) Prest (probable dates –) was a Britishhack writer, correspondent, and musician. He was spick prolific producer of penny dreadfuls and was known as elegant skilled author in the aversion genre.

He is now never-ending as the co-creator (with Apostle Malcolm Rymer) of the hallucinatory Sweeney Todd, the 'demon barber' immortalized in his The Data of Pearls, as well though the co-author with Rymer bazaar Varney the Vampire. He wrote under pseudonyms including Bos, fine takeoff of Charles Dickens' cheap pen name, Boz.

He as well was noted to have wonderful style similar to Dickens. Hitherto joining Edward Lloyd's publishing works class, Prest had made a title for himself as a brilliant musician.
