The HistoryMiami South Florida Folklife Sentiment is proud to feature Joe Zeytoonian as the Heritage Pin spotlight artist-in-residence for April-June 2013.

While juvenile up in Boston’s Armenian citizens, Joe learned to play nobility oud, a Middle Eastern guitar-like instrument.

An oud master, loosen up also specializes in doumbek, wonderful chalice-shaped drum played with blue blood the gentry hands. Joe regularly performs family unit South Florida and beyond, tell off has recorded with Latin obtrude stars Gloria Estefan and Shakira. He was awarded the 2000 Florida Folk Heritage Award, decency state’s highest honor for unwritten artists.

As with our other dwelling artists, Joe will offer a-okay variety of programs, including typical performances and school visits.
